The Licenses & Permits Committee reviews applications for:

CB 11 Liquor License Application Review Process:

Upon receipt of notification of an application for a new, renewal, transfer, upgrade, or alteration liquor license by the Community Board, applicants will be instructed to submit a completed Community Board 11 Liquor License Application Questionnaire which can be completed online by clicking the following link:

All applicants are required to return the completed questionnaire to the Community Board at least seven (7) days before the Licenses & Permits Committee meeting.

Depending on your application status, your business may need to present to the Licenses & Permits for a thorough review of your application questionnaire and SLA application.

The office must be informed of withdrawals at least two (2) days prior to the Licenses & Permits meeting.

CB11 Street Activity Permit Application Review Process:

Applications and requirements differ for “Block Parties” (single day and single block events) and “Street Festivals” (multi-day or multi-block events). Applicants should carefully read the CB11 Street Activity Permits Guidelines and Requirements to understand the Board’s requirements for reviewing street activity permit applications.

The applicant is required to comply with these guidelines and must submit all the requested documents before their application is accepted, processed and voted on. All documents must be submitted to the Board Office, 1664 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10035, at least ninety (90) days prior to the event day. The documents together with the application will be reviewed by this office and then by the Licenses & Permits Committee. which will submit recommendations to our Full Board.

CB11 Newsstand License Application Review Process

As part of the newsstand license application process, the Community Board has sixty (60) days, upon receipt of notification from the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), to submit comments and/or recommendations on the application to DCA. Applicants are required to appear before the Licenses & Permits Committee which reviews newsstand license applications and will submit recommendations to our Full Board.

Applicants should carefully read the CB11 Newsstand License Application Review Procedures to understand the Board’s requirements for reviewing newsstand applications.

CB11 Livery Base Station License Application Review Process

As part of the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) Livery Base Station License Application Process, the Community Board will review and submit comments and/or recommendations on livery base station license applications to the TLC. Applicants are required to appear before the Licenses & Permits Committee which reviews livery base station license applications and will submit recommendations to our Full Board.
