The Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification Program connects certified businesses with opportunities to sell their products and services to New York City agencies. The program’s goal is to promote fairness and equity in City procurement processes by providing services designed to strengthen the ability of certified M/WBEs to increase their capacity and effectively contribute to the City’s economy.

Vendor/Consultant MWBE Certification Training – Jul 25th (10:00am – 12:00pm):
A representative from the Department of Small Business Services (SBS) will be at Gotham Center to conduct an M/WBE certification workshop and answer all questions to train and educate vendors on the certification process.
Identify any consultant that is currently working on a contract for your division, or can potentially work on an agency contract and send a list with contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org

M/WBE Online Directory Training and Q&A session for Health Department staff –
Jul 25th (2:00pm – 3:30pm) and Jul 26th (10:30am – 12:00pm):
The Compliance unit will conduct trainings for Health Department staff to educate on the best ways to search and find certified M/WBEs, and a representative from SBS will also present information on related services.
This training and Q&A session is designed to provide staff with specific steps on how to search for M/WBE vendors, answer general questions about the M/WBE program and related processes.
