Graduates of our program earn their

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

and a chance to join Asphalt Green’s Aquatics Team.

 

Members of our Aquatics Team

receive competitive starting pay,

paid in-service training, flexible hours,

and free membership
to swim in our pools

and workout in our state-of-the-art fitness center.

What: Asphalt Green’s 4-Day Lifeguard Training Program

 

When: Oct. 25 (9am-5pm),

Oct. 26 (9am-5pm),

Nov. 1 (12pm-8pm),

Nov. 2 (9am-5pm)
or Dec. 27 (12pm-8pm),

Dec. 28 (9am-5pm),

Dec. 29 (9am-5pm),

Dec. 30 (9am-5pm)

 

Where: Asphalt Green AquaCenter,

1750 York Ave. at 91st St.

 

Fee: $400
Generous scholarships are available

for public school students and

other community partners.

 

Prerequisites:

 

* ability to swim continuously for 500 yards using

the front crawl and side stroke

 

* retrieval of a 10-pound diving brick

from a minimum depth of 10 feet

 

Perfect attendance is required to pass.

We offer a Lifeguard Prep Program

to help committed candidates

meet these prerequisites.
