Second Avenue Subway | Phase 2 Community Information Center Opens!

September 18th marked the Grand Opening of the MTA’s Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 Community Information Center!

The Second Avenue Subway Phase 2 Community Information Center is now open. The center serves as an educational resource where you can learn all about the Second Avenue Subway and a place where members of the community can speak one-on-one with project representatives.

Second Avenue Subway Phase 2: East Harlem, our first exhibit, details what it took to bring the Second Avenue Subway to reality and what the project will bring to East Harlem in the form of increased transportation options, technologically advanced ADA-accessible stations, and reduced overcrowding on the Lex Line. Using iPads, visitors can scroll through the entire Phase 2 route map from 125th Street to Coney Island and watch videos to learn more about how to build a subway. Please visit us and bring your family and friends.
