Manhattan Counts Census 2020 Initiative
My office will fund nonprofits up to $5,000 (reimbursement based) to implement creative strategies designed to promote Census 2020 awareness and participation. Priority given to those proposals who work with populations historically undercounted in decennial Censuses.
Manhattan Community Award Program
My office will provide funding awards of up to $3,500 to nonprofit organizations and public schools. The awards program is meant to fund a diversity of ideas, activities and proposals that can be contracted through one of four City agencies selected by the applicant: Department for the Aging (DFTA), Department of Correction (DOC), Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). Proposals must relate to the selected agency’s overall mission and goals.
Application deadlines for both of these opportunities have been extended to August 16, 2019
