Technical Assistance Grant Funding Now Available

If you have constituents in your district that are interested in historic preservation, this funding could help them!

What: Grants of up to $4,000, with a required 20% match from each applicant, are available to nonprofit groups and municipalities that manage historic sites, museums, arts facilities, and other important institutions that serve an arts or cultural purpose and are open to the public. State-owned sites, religious institutions, school districts and private property owners are ineligible.

This is a signature grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts and the Preservation League of New York State, made possible with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area has provided generous additional support for Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) projects in the Heritage Area. The TAG program launched in 2012 to support discrete projects that preserve New York State’s cultural and historic resources.

A total of $44,180 is available for this year’s grant cycle. NYSCA has generously provided $34,180 and $10,000 has been provided by the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.

When: Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST Monday, September 30.
