The Housing Committee seeks to review, monitor, initiate and/or report on the implementation of all current and new housing initiatives and home-ownership programs, and to advocate for the preservation of quality affordable housing for all East Harlem residents.

The committee works closely with local service and non-profit organizations; elected officials; and government agencies, including but not limited to:

• NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA)
• NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD)
• NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS)
• NYC Human Resource Administration (HRA)
• NYC Department of Buildings
• NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR)
