This morning, the Mayor announced the release of the RFP and unveiled a vision plan for N.Y.C. Grocery which serves as a blueprint for the program, outlining how stores will be sited, operated, and structured to deliver meaningful savings on everyday grocery items.
N.Y.C. Groceries is a new initiative to bring down the cost of everyday groceries and household staples, strengthen neighborhood food access, and demonstrate a new role for public sector leadership in food affordability.
