RFP Opportunity: Funds for the Newest New Yorkers

The Funds for the Newest New Yorkers seeks proposals to support innovative efforts to improve the lives of migrants who have recently arrived in New York City.

The Funds for the Newest New Yorkers are a joint effort by government and philanthropy to ensure that new arrivals to New York City thrive. Led by Robin Hood and The New York Community Trust, with contributors including the Ford Foundation, Scherman Foundation, Trinity Church Wall Street Philanthropies, the Jeffrey H. and Shari L. Aronson Family Foundation, and UJA Federation of New York, the Funds will support nonprofits (including faith-based and volunteer) efforts to provide coordinated case management, legal services, and other community-based social services to recently arrived migrants. Grantees will work closely with the offices of the Mayor, the Comptroller, and the Governor to share information and coordinate efforts. The Fund will not replace government support but will enhance and fill in gaps in government programs and funding.

The Funds will accept proposals until 5pm on September 16, 2024. Funding decisions will be finalized by November 5, 2024.
